Next Book Project
May 24, 2008
My writers chapter, Saguaro Romance Writers met today and we have a contest called Writing for the Roses. At the end, I can have the manuscript read by an agent.
I have been playing with this for months. Here is a little bit of trivia. How many of you know that Mexico had an emperor from the Hapsburg Dynasty? His name was Maximilian and he was ruling Mexico at the time of the American Civil War.
Living as close to Mexico as I do, this calls for a road trip. The tragedy of this story is both he and Benito Juarez (the elected President of Mexico) were decent men. There are bad guys in this story, but the two main opponents are not among them.

Taking Yerbie Outside.
May 11, 2008
I now have a collar for Yerbie and a harness. He enjoys going out in the yard to explore. The Cactus Wrens annoy him, because he cannot catch them. I have to wash him afterwards, because he enjoys rubbing himself in the sand.
Silly cat.
Yerbie and the Roof

I had to go up on the roof to paint it. It is something that needs to be done in Arizona every 5-7 years.
You use white latex paint to act as a shield and a way of having the suns’ rays bounce off the roof. Well I was told Yerbie heard the sound of the roller against the roof and wanted to go after it. He was rather unamused.
Arnold for V.P.
May 11, 2008
This is not an endorsement, but an idea. The Constitution of the United States say you have to be born here to be elected president. There is nothing in there about being the Vice President.
California is the largest state (55 Electoral Votes). Would having Arnold on the ticket be enough to give California to McCain? The Democrats would be forced strategically to drop the U.S. born requirement. After all, they are the party of the immigrant, are they not?
That would really add more to this election. Food for thought.
