Hailin’ Mr. Palin

July 31, 2008

We are hailin’ Mr. Palin.
For we wouldn’t be wantin’ to fail him.
We already went to mail him,
And wouldn’t want to nail him,
Nor would we want to rail him,
But really want to sail him
And some possibly tail him
But for we wouldn’t want him wailin.’

More on Gout

July 30, 2008

Sorry, I could not resist the silliness.

I have a bout with gout.

It turns me into a lout, make noises from my snout,

And it makes me want to pout,

With nothing I want to tout.

I have to thank you Justin.  I read the BBC News for its balance.  I hardly expect you and Matt Frei to be cheerleaders.  We all know we are not perfect.  Once you begin thinking you are perfect, you start slipping.

Yerbie and Gout

July 29, 2008

Yerbie is taking care of me.  Those who have animals understand the fact that animals sense our pain.  I go back to work Thursday, but I will feel better in more ways than one.  He will sit with me.  That is all that matters.

Yerbie will be in my next book.  His name will be changed to protect the guilty.

Gout

July 29, 2008

Well I have it.  Luckily I can still be on here.  I am out of work for a couple of days but what can you do?   Allegedly Henry VIII had it and it is known as the rich man’s disease.  I am neither, what’s my excuse LOL!

Click on Letter to America. Also Click on 38 pitches.

He wrote this after September 11th. I already admire Curt Schilling, as a person, former Diamondback and Red Sox.

My admiration grew when I read Mental Toughness, Baseball’s Winning Edge. The authors discussed how Curt Schilling was a sort of party boy until Roger Clemens had a little talk with him.

Speaking of protoges, I have to make sure mine does his homework assignment. I am having read the baseball book.

He is not my “blood” uncle.  He is a colleague of my father’s (my father is a college Chemistry Professor).  I’ve known Piotr Tomasik since childhood.  He always took an interest in me when he visited.

Therefore, I am honor bound to do the right thing for him.  Also Krakow is a great city to visit.

Justin Webb of the BBC

July 27, 2008

I am a man of honor and my word.  Click on Justin Webb to get the basic link for his blog.

It is the reason I also read the Economist.  Someone else’s view on the United States.

I will learn something.  You may as well.

See the details of this by clicking on Justin Webb.

I have mixed feelings about the handshake.  Was it sincere, was it as Justin said he was overtired or was it like something out of Dale Carnegie’s “winning friends and influencing people.”

I’d like to think it is sincere.  See next post because I would like my readers to read BBC and Justin Webb.

I watched the four hour series tonight.  Found it interesting.  I endeavor to take folks as they come.  I have no ideas for solutions for the problems discussed on the series.

What I do not understand is why my African Refugee friends are doing so much better than many African Americans.  Their experiences are hair raising to say the least.
