Yerbie Kills the Straw

I have to buy drinking straws in the supermarket.  Not for a human child, but the feline one.  Yerbie’s big thrill in playing is straws.  He bats them around until they are flat.  Then he cries, because he knows which drawer they are in.

Is this how the great hunter gets his practice?

Motown Turns Fifty

I watched the BBC America story on it today.  Motown turns fifty.  The music is great, Gordy Berry was one heck of an entrepreneur and all kinds of people were able to enjoy the music.

Diana Ross, Four Tops, Smokey Robinson, and the Temptations.  Those are a few of my favorite groups.

Governor Janet,

This refers to outgoing Arizona Governor Janet Napolitano, who is leaving to become Barack Obama’s head of Homeland Security.

A great choice.  We in Arizona have to live with it.  She was Governor when I moved here.   I wish her the best in her duties.
